I began my musical career by learning the piano as a child and then continued on to do a 4-year Bachelor of Music at the University of Ottawa in Canada. I then specialised in Music Theory, completeing a Master's and PhD at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. In 2010, I moved to Australia and discovered the fascinating art of piano tuning. I have studied at the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology and locally with Curtis Wilkinson.
I have taught music theory and aural skills at the university level for over 25 years, first at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA), then at Washington University (St. Louis, USA). When I moved to Australia, I taught at the Australian Institute of Music for several years, where I developed the materials for the theory and musicianship classes. I am also a member of the Music Teachers Association of New South Wales.
